Metacognition
Metacognition is when you’re thinking about your own thinking, like you think about why I’m I thinking about this. For example when you’re doing a test, you must think wisely about your answers and make sure that it is the correct answer. In my experience is when sometimes when I fight with my parents or my friends, I have to think what I’m I going to do next in order to solve this problem instead of making it worst. In this case Metacognition is really helpful, it helps you evaluate you problem solving strategies. It makes me solve my problem and end it faster, on the other hand if I didn’t think about what I was saying or doing I might have got in a worst situation like in a fight. Metacognition really helps you, if you know how to use it; it will be a really good strategy for solving problems.
Anwa, this post clearly explains how metacognition can apply to real-life scenarios. Certainly being aware of one's thinking can only be an asset. Since you didn't say, what did you think of the 'Think Aloud' experience?

ReplyDeleteMy "Think Aloud" experience was really fun strange at the same time, I never did something like this before. My mouth was going faster than my hands so it was kind of confusing too. In conclusion it was really fun to try the "Think Aloud"
